showbura is a small team, and each person owns one stage of the work. You deal with the same people from the first call to the final file.

Working together

How the team shares a deadline

A news job moves through several hands in a short time. The team is organised so that each handover is clear, and the person who needs to decide something can do so without waiting.

One producer in charge

Helen Marsh coordinates every project and is your point of contact. She agrees the scope with you, sets the schedule and tells you plainly if timings shift. Having one person hold the plan means crews and editors are never working from different instructions. She also keeps the written quotation or confirmation in view, so the work delivered matches what was agreed, and the invoice that follows holds no surprises for your team.

Shooting and cutting side by side

Daniel Whitcombe and Priya Nair work as a pair on breaking stories. Daniel films with the edit in mind and passes on notes about what he captured, while Priya prepares to cut as footage arrives. The short distance between camera and edit suite is one reason packages come back quickly. Daniel also trains crews in stable handheld techniques, which keeps picture quality consistent across jobs.

Studio work with Tom

Tom Fletcher directs multi-camera recordings and looks after lighting, sound and presenter support. He arrives early to set the room, checks autocue and audio before anyone sits down and keeps the session to time. Guests and presenters are put at ease, which shows in the recordings. When a studio job needs editing afterwards, he briefs Priya directly so the cut follows the director's intentions.
